Sandeep Vanga slams Javed Akhtar

Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the director of the film 'Animal', has responded to the criticism received from fans and celebrities, including Javed Akhtar. The film has been accused of portraying toxic masculinity. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Sandeep expressed his disappointment in Javed Akhtar's comments, suggesting that he had not watched the entire film before passing judgment. Sandeep also questioned why Javed Akhtar did not criticize his son Farhan Akhtar's work, referring to the popular series 'Mirzapur'. Sandeep claimed that the Telugu dubbed version of 'Mirzapur' made him feel disgusted.

Sandeep's film, 'Animal', starring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, and Triptii Dimri, revolves around a troubled father-son relationship that leads to violence and revenge. This is Sandeep's third directorial venture following the success of 'Arjun Reddy' and 'Kabir Singh'. The director's reaction to the criticism reflects his frustration with individuals who comment on a work of art without fully understanding or experiencing it. Sandeep suggests that critics should first examine their own surroundings and the work of their own family members before passing judgment on others' creations.
