People with Diabetes: Less Processed Food Should be Avoided

As per a new study, the people suffering from diabetes can eat certain foods at the day time but they have to be extra cautious when it comes to nights. The findings have been published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism. The mealtimes should be with the biological clock that regulates the sleep and wake cycle. These should be strictly followed. The health outcomes will be improved if some of the foods are eaten at different times in the day. Qingrao Song, M.D., of Harbin Medical University in Harbin, China explained about the meal cycle.

"Eating potatoes in the morning, whole gains for lunch, greens and milk in the evening and less processed meat in the nights will keep the people with diabetes healthy and they will lead a longer life. The intervention strategies and the nutritional guidelines for the disease should integrate the consumption times of the food" told Qingrao Song. The study was conducted on 4642 people with diabetes from National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey to find the life risk among them. The above diet was the best for the people with diabetes confirmed the study. All those who eat processed meat in the evening are prone to heart diseases.
