Ohio teenagers allows to apply for attorney general’s advisory board

Ohio’s attorney general is encouraging  high schoolers to file application to become members of a board, which advises attorney general’s office on teen matters. Applications can be filed till May 31.

Republican Attorney General Mike DeWine is inviting applications for its Teen Ambassador Board. Students who are  juniors or seniors  during the 2016-2017 academic year in high school will be allowed to apply. Teenagers can attend  private, public, charter or online schools.

Around  170 students have  joined the program in the current academic year, DeWine said. During the  one-year term, Board members meet twice in Columbus. The members meet with  attorney general and other officials and also work on to find solutions to problems facing Ohioans.

The board members also get an inside look at law and government, said  attorney general.
