In the daily press conference in the White House, President Donald Trump said that he going to suspend all the immigration to US temporary to avert further complications of the coronavirus outbreak.

This is to not just contain the further spread of the virus but to also ensure that the same protects the American jobs.

The decision was tweeted by President Trump via his twitter account. This also effectively matches up to the long term Trump policy goal to further curb immigration and make use of the health and the economic crisis that has hit US.

The decision was soon condemned by some of the Democrats, reporting that this decision is just a way to distract the slow response that the Trump administration has taken in light of the covid-19 outbreak.

Trump further mentioned that his main aim behind this decision is to protect the U.S workforce. Millions of Americans are struggling with lack of employment after the companies have laid off people because of the lack of business. The same has also been because of the nationwide lockdown that has been implemented.

In light of the attack from the Invisible Enemy, as well as the need to protect the jobs of our GREAT American Citizens, I will be signing an Executive Order to temporarily suspend immigration into the United States," President Trump wrote in a tweet.

The White House has not reported any further on the situation, be it the timing or even the cause or reason behind this decision.

Several of the opposition parties and the Democrats who have been consistently upset with Trump’s decision said that his lack of faster response is what has led to the deteriorating condition of the country.

Former Democratic presidential candidate Amy Klobuchar also stated saying, “As our country battles the pandemic, as workers put their lives on the line, the President attacks immigrants & blames others for his own failures.”

Immigration is anyhow put to a half because of the border lockdown and the general lockdown that has been imposed in majority of the countries across the world. There have been flight bans across the globe to further help contain the spread of this deadly virus.
