In an incident, father and son, accused for raping a teen girl, aged 13, in their basement, will serve as their own attorneys, with a bible in hand. The girl was imprisoned by father and son, and was raped.

Timothy Ciboro, and his son Esten Ciboro, aged 28, asked the judge on Friday 20th jan, 2017,whether they would be permitted to bring their Bible with them, when the trail begins on Monday, as reported by the Toledo Blade.

Both men, will represent themselves, using Bible for their defense.“The only law book that truely matters”, Esten Ciboro called the Bible.

According to the Toledo Blade, Esten Ciboro told the court, “There’s a great deal of strategy in Scriprture and I use those strategies in everything I do.”

The judge allowed them to bring the Bible to court, But they are not allowed to use it during witness questioning.

The father and son are accused of rape, Kidnapping and child endangering. Both the men, have pleaded not guilty.

Last summer, the men were arrested, as the 13 year old girl ran from their Toledo home. The girl told the police that, she used a spare key to unlock herself, after being kept shackled in a darkened basement, early for a year.

Along with two other children from the home, she also have been put in foster care.
