NWS Issued Tornado Watch

A tornado watch has been issued for the majority of the WLWT viewing area until 7 a.m.: Boone, Campbell, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Owen, Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton, Warren, Dearborn, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley and also in the Switzerland counties. The flash flood warning has been issued for: The Boone County until 4:30 a.m., and Kenton, Campbell, Hamilton, Butler, Clermont and Warren counties until 6:30 a.m.

A fast-moving storm began pushing through Cincinnati area after the midnight. Winds will increase overnight helping to bring the additional moisture and instability into the area. Nearly the entire WLWT viewing area went under the tornado watch on Tuesday night.

Widespread Harassment At Sterling Jewelers

The National Weather service confirmed through the debris which a tornado touched down in the Leesburg, but the storm system quickly moved out of the area. Around at 2 a.m., the hail was dropping in the Metro Cincinnati area.

Several areas are seeing high water and poor visibility on the roads.

The threat will be greatest lasting through about 11 a.m. on Wednesday. A second distinct severe weather episode could hit at around 7 a.m. on Wednesday.

The flash flooding will also be a concern. The highs on Wednesday will be mild in the mid-60s and it will be windy.

Colder air will arrive on Wednesday night with lows around 34, then expect partly cloudy skies on Thursday with highs in the mid 40s as even colder air arrives behind a fast-moving storm center on Thursday night.
