The Indian electronics firm Lumio is entering the home projector market with two mid-level projectors called the Arc 5 and Arc 7, made to show Full HD 1080p pictures that work with HDR10. A news statement from Monday, July 7, says both projectors use Lumio’s Arclight Engine to make colors bright and details clear. A MTK 9630 chip runs them, and they have 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The projectors also have an Under-Stand to help lift them up in a bedroom or living room setting. The Arc 5 costs Rs 19,999, and the Arc 7 costs Rs 34,999. The business said that during Amazon Prime Day, from July 12 to July 14, the Arc 7 will cost less, at Rs 29,999.
Lumio said that home projectors only make up one percent of the TV market in India, while they make up 15 to 20 percent in richer countries. The business wants to fix this difference by selling mid-level options in a market that mostly has cheaper and more expensive models. “Even though the projector market in India is small, it has a lot of potential. The Lumio Arc 5 and Arc 7 are as good as our TVs—Google TV, nice pictures, and great sound—in a small, easy-to-use design that doesn’t need any setup. We’re making projectors easy to get, reliable, and fun, with the same service that helped our TVs do well,” said Raghu Reddy, who is in charge of Lumio’s main business, Circuit House Technologies. The Lumio Arc 5 weighs more than 1.33 kg, has 200 ANSI lumens, and can show images up to 100 inches. It also has 5W speakers with Dolby Audio and can show images in bedrooms, hostels, or while traveling.

The Lumio Arc 7, however, is a stronger projector with 400 ANSI lumens, allowing it to show images up to 100 inches, and it has two 8W stereo speakers with Dolby Audio, making it great for bigger areas like living rooms. Both projectors use Google TV OS and let you use over 10,000 OTT apps like Netflix. Some smart features of the Lumio Arc 5 and Arc 7 include Smooth Trapezoidal Recalibration or STR8, which fixes keystone issues automatically, avoids obstacles, and quickly focuses using a Time-of-Flight (TOF) sensor. Each model has HDMI 2.0 (with HDMI ARC), USB 2.0 ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, and Bluetooth 5.1. The remote has Google Assistant and buttons for Netflix, YouTube, and TLDR, which is an app for sports and music.
