OnePlus Nord 6 is set to be released in India next month. The firm has shared the launch date for the device and confirmed some important features. The design and color choices for the new phone have also been disclosed. A live microsite has indicated that the smartphone will eventually be available on Amazon. It is likely to be an updated model of the OnePlus Turbo 6, which was first launched in China in January. In India, the device is expected to come with a higher price compared to the previous model. The OnePlus Nord 6 is scheduled for release in India on April 7 at 7pm IST, according to a press announcement from the company. It will be for sale in the country through Amazon and official OnePlus channels. The phone, which is rumored to be priced between Rs. 35,000 and Rs. 40,000, will come in Fresh Mint, Holographic Quick Silver, and Pitch Black colors. The new OnePlus Nord 6 has a flat design with straight edges and a flat back, featuring a slightly raised rectangular camera area at the top left that contains three large circular lenses, a smaller sensor, and an LED flash. The silver version stands out with a holographic edge, while the center has a softer look with a subtle texture that gives it a framed appearance. In contrast, the green and black versions have a matte finish.
The OnePlus Nord 6 sports a 1.5K AMOLED "Sunburst HDR" display with a refresh rate of 165Hz, reaching a maximum brightness of 3,600 nits and a minimum brightness of 2 nits. The display also supports 3,840Hz PWM dimming and Aqua Touch 2.0 for effective touch feedback, even with wet fingers. This device is powered by a 4nm octa-core Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor paired with an Adreno 835 GPU. The company states that it achieves up to 136 percent better CPU performance, 64 percent higher GPU performance, and a 25 percent improvement in AI capabilities, boasting an AnTuTu score of 2,503,854. The new OnePlus Nord 6 is said to maintain a steady 165fps in popular games such as Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), Call of Duty Mobile, and Free Fire Max. The phone features a Touch Reflex Chip with a 3,200Hz touch sampling rate, a 6-axis gyroscope with a sensitivity of ±4000dps, and a Spatial Audio Booster. Connectivity options include a G2 Wi-Fi chip and support for 5G Advanced, offering claimed peak speeds that are up to 3 times faster on compatible networks.
OnePlus has equipped the Nord 6 with a massive 9,000mAh silicon-carbon battery that contains 15 percent silicon. According to the company, this battery can last for approximately 2.5 days with average usage, 16.6 hours for navigation using Google Maps, 26.9 hours of watching videos on YouTube, and 6.3 hours for recording 4K videos at 60 frames per second. The device features 80W SUPERVOOC charging, allowing the battery to be fully recharged in around 70 minutes. It also supports bypass charging and includes 27W wired reverse charging capabilities. When used with OnePlus earbuds that are compatible, the phone is claimed to provide up to 12 hours of Spotify listening time with just a 10-minute charge.
