Man Shot Dead In Cleveland

A man was shot to death on Tuesday night in the Cleveland's Euclid-Green neighborhood, said the police.

The victim is a man who is in his 30’s, was found dead at about 8:45 p.m. near intersection of the Colonnade and Euclid avenues, a couple blocks northeast of the Ivanhoe Road, said the Cleveland police spokeswoman Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia. The man was shot in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene by the paramedics.

At the time of their preliminary investigation, the detectives learned that the victim was just dropping off a male passenger in the nearby area when several unknown individuals opened fire at him, said Ciaccia . The victim drove only a short distance before coming to the final stop.

No one else was injured in the incident of shooting, said Ciaccia.

The Cleveland police homicide detectives quickly responded to the crime scene, sai Ciaccia. The victim was found inside the gold Dodge mini van where the victim was fatally shot while the homicide detectives and also the patrol officers kept the scene surrounded.

At about 10:15 p.m., the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office investigators have arrived at the scene. The office will release the victim's identity once his family is notified by the shootings.

The information about the suspect was not immediately available.
